Had an awesome Xmas stay at this hotel. Enjoyed the spacious rooms with plush beds that were so comfortable and the powerful AC was just perfect for the tropical weather. The hotel's prime location meant we could easily walk to the serene lake, historic temple and shop to our heart's content. The best aspect was the delicious breakfast buffet with a variety of food options that catered to every palate.
While the hotel had many positives, there were a few negatives. The outdated decor was a bit of a letdown and some parts of the room were obviously worn.

We had an amazing time staying at this hotel. The staff members were so friendly, and the service was impeccable. The cleanliness of this hotel was impressive, with well-maintained and beautifully decorated rooms. The location is perfect, as it is easily accessible by transportation and is close to tourist attractions. The breakfast provided by the hotel was of great quality too, with both Sri Lankan and western options available.

The staff at Hotel Lakefield in Kandy were incredibly welcoming and attentive to our needs. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. Additionally, the location of the hotel was ideal, being close to the main city center and the famous Tooth Relic Temple. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. Despite a few minor drawbacks, we had a pleasant and enjoyable experience at Hotel Lakefield. I would highly recommend this hotel for a short stay in Kandy.
